WHAT HUNT SHOULD I BOOK ?

Autumn:

If caribou is your main animal, then it has to be autumn. (we can hunt them winter, but there they havent any antlers). Our succesrate on caribou is 99%, most big bucks. You need to be able to walk alot for best chances.

You can add a musk-ox in autumn if we find a nice one you want. But sadly the musk-ox population has been going down the last years in the autumn hunting area, its due to unsustainable quotas for meat hunt and that the municipality have allowed motorized transport in the area in winter. So its becoming more difficult. Buy you only have to pay for a musk-ox if you get one.

Please notice musk-ox in autumn is hard work, you must be fit so you can carry your 45 kg trophy down to camp.

 

Winter:

If musk-ox is your main animal, then winter is best. We got 99% succesrate on winterhunts, and you dont need to carry anything. We use snowmobile/ATV, so you only need to walk 1-2 km to the animals, and there is many old bulls in the winterhuntingarea.

 

Small game:

Winter is absolut the best time for small game. We shoot arctic fox on bait near the cabin, and walk out for arctic hare and ptharmigans near camp.
